Difficult day for those travelling by sea in the Gulf of Naples, due to unfavourable marine weather conditions.

In fact, all connections to the islands of Ischia and Procida operated by hydrofoils, both from Naples and Pozzuoli, are suspended; the two islands are currently connected by ships even if some ferry trips have also been cancelled.
In particular, some services from Casamicciola to Pozzuoli and vice versa have been suspended due to the grounding of a vessel operating that route, which occurred early this morning due to windy conditions, and other services to and from Procida due to rough seas.
The situation is similar for connections to Capri both from Naples and Sorrento.
