Mild weather until the day ofEpiphany but then it comes back Maltempo cold and snow in the mountains. The Italian Weather Center predicts for the first week of January a disturbed flow that flows between the Atlantic and Europe while an anticyclonic promontory expands towards the Iberian Peninsula with weather conditions that are still mostly dry in Italy, with temperatures on average or slightly above.

A low-pressure system will move across Western Europe, bringing southern winds to Italy. Increasing cloud cover and some light rain will be expected, but temperatures will likely reach 6 degrees above average. However, the latest updates from the Italian Meteorological Center confirm a period of severe winter weather over the central Mediterranean over the Epiphany weekend, with rain, thunderstorms, and even snow at increasingly lower altitudes both in the Alps and along the Apennines.

TO THE NORTH - Cloudy weather in the north this morning, with snow in the western Alps above 700-1000 meters, fog and low clouds in the Po Valley. No significant changes are expected in the afternoon, with heavy clouds and occasional showers in Liguria. In the evening and overnight, instability will increase, with showers and thunderstorms between Liguria and Emilia-Romagna and snow in the western Alps.

IN THE CENTER - Scattered rain in Tuscany this morning, dry elsewhere with clouds and clear spells.
