A 5-year-old girl was spotted wandering the streets of Mondragone by the owner of a bar.
The man, seeing the lost girl, accompanied her inside his business to reassure her and wait for the arrival of the police
. The story was made public by journalist Pino Grazioli who said that the child had been abandoned by her parents. Francesco Emilio Borrelli, alerted by citizens and Grazioli, immediately contacted the Highway Police to obtain confirmation of the incident.
“It is a terrible story that I will follow step by step. The Highway Police assured me that the child is safe in their hands and that the magistrate has already started all the procedures to activate social services, to trace the parents and reconstruct what happened.
There is never a valid reason to abandon a child, it is an inhuman and unacceptable act. The parents of this child must be identified and, if the abandonment is confirmed, severely punished.
