A fascinating and panoramic place in Naples will soon be redeveloped with the addition of a new elevator that will offer convenient access to the terrace of Monte Echia and Megaride, famous for its panoramic view of the Gulf of Naples.
In the coming months, the elevator that connects via Santa Lucia and the Chiatamone with the splendid Pizzofalcone hill will finally be inaugurated, allowing visitors to admire the wonderful scenery of the city from the heights. The Municipality of Naples has given the green light for the opening to the public by March 31, 2024.
The hill of Monte Echia, also known as the hill of Partenope, will become easily accessible thanks to the elevator that starts from Via Santa Lucia. Visitors will be able to enjoy an extraordinary lookout that offers panoramic views of Castel dell'Ovo, Borgo Marinari and other iconic places of Naples. Monte Echia is also home to the State Archives, where the TV series “I Bastardi di Pizzofalcone” was filmed.
The opening of the elevator will also allow the redevelopment of the viewpoint on Mount Echia, one of the most beautiful in the city, which offers breathtaking views and represents the place where the first nucleus of Parthenope was born, founded by the Cumaeans in the 8th century BC. To accompany the opening of the elevator, a refreshment point will be created and all the green areas in the area will be arranged.
The area will soon be enriched by the new Chiaia station of Line 6 of the Naples Metro, located in Piazza Santa Maria degli Angeli. This will contribute to the revitalization of the historic city area, offering visitors a new convenient way to reach it and enjoy the surrounding panoramic beauty.
In conclusion, the opening of the elevator and the new metro station will contribute to making accessible and giving back to the city a beautiful and panoramic place of Naples.
