On Monday 22 January, at 18 pm, at the San Michele Complex in the heart of the historic centre of Salerno, the busy programme of events for the “Colloqui di Salerno 2023-2024 – Annabella Rossi: 'Living reality is already science'”, curated by Vincenzo Esposito and the Interdepartmental Laboratory of Anthropology “Annabella Rossi” – Unisa, will begin with the vernissage of the exhibition “Annabella Rossi and photography”.
The exhibition – fifty images by Annabella Rossi on tarantism, carnival, festivals and pilgrimages – is curated by Professor Esposito, scientific director of the Anthropology Lab “A. Rossi”. In the exhibition spaces you can view the films “Le feste dei povero”, by Michele Gandin; “La taranta”, by Gianfranco Mingozzi; “Vita e morte di Carnevale”, by Vincenzo Esposito; “La nascita di un culto”, by Luigi Di Gianni. After the institutional greetings, a conversation with Professor Paolo Apolito will follow, with the participation of the singer Floriana Attanasio and the musicians Antonio Giordano and Vincenzo Ferraioli.
The exhibition will be open in Salerno until February 12th from 16pm to 18pm; the same exhibition will be set up from February 15th to March 20th at the Unisa-Campus of Fisciano, at the Humanistic Library “ER Caianiello”. Free entrance.
The event “Colloqui di Salerno 2023-2024 – Annabella Rossi: 'Living reality is already science'” enjoys the patronage and contribution of the University of Salerno Dispac-Department of Cultural Heritage Sciences, Disuff-Department of Human, Philosophical and Educational Sciences, Disps-Department of Political and Social Studies, CBA-University Library Center, the Municipality of Salerno, the Cassa di Risparmio Salernitana Foundation and the CEiC-Ethnographic Center of the Campania Islands (Institute of Historical and Anthropological Studies). The initiative, which sees the participation of 15 06|Film and the Icpi (Central Institute for the Intangible Heritage of the Ministry of Culture), has also been sponsored by Siac (Italian Society of Cultural Anthropology), and Kurumuni Edizioni.
