The first museum dedicated to Lucio Battisti has opened a Poggio Bustone, his hometown. The museum houses objects, letters and instruments that belonged to the famous singer-songwriter, offering visitors a journey through his life and career. Battisti's birthplace has become a place of memory and celebration for the giant of Italian music.
Lucio Battisti's nephew, Andrea Barbacane, accompanied the Tg1 on a tour of the museum, showing off the exhibits and sharing anecdotes about his uncle's life and work. His presence added an emotional and personal value to the museum experience.
This initiative is a way to preserve the cultural and artistic heritage of Lucio Battisti and to allow his fans and lovers of Italian music to learn more about his history and his contribution to popular culture. The opening date of the museum is today, January 21, 2024, and the event was covered by TG1, with the participation of journalist Gianni Maritati.
Wanted by his father Alfiero, it collects objects, letters, photographs and paintings by Lucio Battisti. The director Joseph Bonomo has explained: “A small, 30 square meter, free space to tell the story of a man who was not at all shy, cold and sullen as he has always been described.”
Admission is free, from 15 to 17 pm. Don't expect to find archaeological finds. You will find objects that belonged to the great singer-songwriter, you will breathe the air of the country where he lived for many years.
