Over the past weekend, the local police of Napoli increased controls in the city centre.
Five fines were issued for illegally occupying public spaces, another seven for playing music that did not comply with noise regulations, and for failing to properly manage the annoying noises caused by the many customers.
Two fines were also issued for the incorrect disposal of urban waste and another two for the installation of advertising signs without authorization. In addition, the local police officers closed a well-known establishment in Via San Sebastiano, which had already been the subject of checks and complaints, following an order from the Suap that prohibited the continuation of its catering activity.
For not respecting this provision, a street musician who was playing a percussion instrument in Piazzetta Nilo around 1:30 am was fined for disturbing the public peace.
The checks also extended to the hilly area of Naples, where 49 products illegally sold on public land were seized, including toys and cell phone covers, in via Scarlatti. As regards compliance with the highway code, 33 reports were drawn up for illegal parking and three vehicles were towed, one of which was uninsured.
Finally, in the Rione Alto area, a construction company was fined for illegally occupying public spaces and for dirtying a pedestrian crossing with sandy material.
