A meeting was held at Palazzo San Giacomo between the mayor Gaetano Manfredi and the general director of the MIC and superintendent of Archaeology, Fine Arts and Landscape Luigi La Rocca, to discuss the topic of building amnesty.
Also present were the deputy mayor and councilor for urban planning, Laura Lieto, the director of the Superintendency, Rosalia D'Apice, and the president of the local landscape commission, Alessandro Castagnaro.
During the meeting, the critical issues that had emerged in the previous months were examined and new procedures were defined for a more expedited review of applications in the restricted areas. It was agreed to update the 2011 collaboration protocol on amnesty applications within a month, in order to expedite the procedures.

Technical meetings will be held soon, focusing primarily on examining cases of "minor abuse" throughout the municipality, in order to reach a more rapid assessment. Priority will also be given to applications already processed and under review by the Superintendency. This process will be shared with the council's Urban Planning Commission.
The shared goal is to provide concrete answers to citizens, in compliance with current regulations. This will be achieved through a reorganization of office work, following the path already initiated by the municipal administration, including the recruitment of additional human resources.
