Galleria Umberto I Naples: The work schedule has been outlined, with the gates scheduled for installation in June and the paving completed in December.
Yesterday afternoon, the Prefect of Naples, Michele di Bari, chaired a meeting of the Round Table dedicated to the recovery, enhancement and safety of the Gallery.
Participants included the Deputy Mayor, the Mayor's Chief of Staff, the City Councilor for Legality and Security, the Superintendent of Archaeology, Fine Arts, and Landscape, the President of the Chamber of Commerce, the Regional Director of Intesa San Paolo, the delegate of the Industrialists' Union of Naples, the Deputy Vice President of Confcommercio Campania, and the President of Aicast Imprese Italia.

The meeting established the timeline for the restoration work, currently underway on the vault and soon to be extended to the paving. The schedule also includes the installation of gates at the entrances on Via Santa Brigida and Via Verdi, as well as the Angiporto. The paving restoration, which will be completed within a year, will allow for the complete recovery of the work, preserved by the Municipality through initiatives for rational regulation of public land use.
Prefect Michele di Bari announced that a technical meeting will be called soon to share the timing of the various phases of the work, involving the alternating closure of portions of the site. The gate installation project, supervised by the Superintendency, will be defined by June, ensuring completion of the work by December.
Regarding site security, a new loan from Banca Intesa San Paolo has been acquired to temporarily help restore nighttime security, maintaining continuity with the work of the local police station present during the day.
