The Strategic Plan 2023-2025 of the Naples Municipality, Campania Region, Metropolitan City and Chamber of Commerce was approved yesterday unanimously by the members Mostra d'Oltremare.
The plan includes the repurposing of the Exhibition within the Phlegraean area and the western zone with the expansion of services for conferences, sports and culture, the consolidation of the historical client portfolio and the ?disposal of the last two non-strategic properties located outside the walls of the MdO such as the fire station and the lower cableway station.
Thanks to the 2023-2025 Strategic Plan, a growth of approximately 3,2 million equal to +21,4% is expected. A more than realistic forecast considering the numbers that characterized 2023: 27 fairs, with almost 6.000 exhibitors and the presence of 750 thousand visitors, more than 650 thousand attendances recorded at the twenty live events, 60 thousand at the conferences and 90 thousand participants in the competitions.
Added to these are more than 200 thousand admissions to the park, 20 thousand to the swimming pool and 22 thousand spectators to the Teatro dei piccoli. The total attendance recorded was 1 million 800 thousand people
The President and the delegated Councilor of MdO Remo Minopoli and Maria Caputo expressed satisfaction with the unanimous approval.
"The approved plan will allow the Mostra d'Oltremare to consolidate its position as a key hub for the trade fair industry," they explain, "with a resulting gradual growth in revenue through the leasing of additional properties, the divestment of non-strategic properties, and the enhancement of the convention center as a key hub for the city's conference industry. We are pleased with the shared objectives, confident that this unity of purpose will lead to the true revitalization of the Exhibition."
