This afternoon there were moments of panic on the Naples ring road, where smoke from a broken-down car completely invaded the Vomero Est tunnel, located between Camaldoli and Arenella.
Many people abandoned their cars and fled on foot outside the tunnel due to the unbreathable air generated by the thick smoke.
Traffic was completely paralyzed for over an hour, with ambulances blocked and firefighters able to intervene on site only by reaching it on foot.
