Last December 29th, Roberto was stuck in traffic on the Naples ring road, due to the football match between Naples and Monza which was due to be played shortly thereafter at the Maradona stadium in Fuorigrotta.
The man had to reach the nearest hospital as soon as possible because Valeria, his wife, was in full labor. Riccardo was at risk of being born in the car. Luckily, a patrol of the Highway Police Fuorigrotta was passing right there; so Roberto attracted the attention of the officers who, after having pulled up alongside the vehicle, immediately escorted him to the hospital where, after a few minutes, Valeria gave birth to her second child.
Last Saturday the operators stopped by the family to say hello and also met Eleonora, the little sister. Little Riccardo, born at the San Paolo hospital, is about to turn one month old.
