Yesterday afternoon, in the Piazza Dante area, two men attempted to commit a robbery, but were promptly arrested by the State Police, who intervened thanks to the report received by the Operations Room of the police headquarters in Napoli following a theft.
The Hawks of the Flying Squad, during the prepared operations, identified the suspects near Piazza San Domenico Maggiore, blocking them.
A citizen reported to the officers that the two individuals, shortly before, had acted suspiciously towards a woman in Piazza Dante, attempting to open her backpack.
The man intervened to defend her, but was physically attacked: the suspects tried to steal his phone before forcefully pushing him and fleeing.

As a result, a 30-year-old Tunisian citizen and a 25-year-old Moroccan man, both with criminal records, were arrested on charges of attempted aggravated robbery and aggravated assault.
