The countdown has begun for the fourth annual Vera Pizza Day, the event spanning every continent to celebrate Italy's flagship product. This is the first event on the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana calendar for 2024, which will see the association celebrate its 40th anniversary.
On January 17th, the traditional lighting of the Saint Anthony's fire will take place at the AVPN headquarters in Capodimonte . This year, 16 countries are participating in a program of 22 masterclasses, all streamed live on the YouTube channel.
“It is our first event of 2024,” says Antonio Pace, president of AVPN, “which kicks off a year of celebrations for our fortieth anniversary. Vera Pizza Day is the event that perhaps best embodies our desire to spread the real Neapolitan pizza everywhere.”
Among the events that will enliven the fourth edition of Vera Pizza Day, which this year sees the patronage of the Campania Region and the Municipality of Naples, the first masterclass will take place in Australia, before moving on to Japan, Chile, the USA East Coast, China, the USA West Coast, Egypt, Turkey, France, Germany, Poland, Spain, the United Kingdom, Brazil, Canada, Peru, Italy and again Poland and the United States. Two new entries: the first masterclass in Chinese and the double appointment from South America (Chile and Peru).
