Shocking discovery yesterday evening in the province of Turin and precisely in Villanova Canavese where around 19:40 pm, a worker near his home heard moans coming from a waste bin.
Inside a plastic bag lay a newborn male, with the placenta and umbilical cord still attached. The man alerted the police.
The rapid intervention of the 118 staff and the Carabinieri was essential for the timely assistance of the newborn.
The little boy was transported to the Ciriè Hospital where he was treated and is not in danger of life. Investigations are underway to reconstruct what happened before the discovery and above all to trace the mother.
The Carabinieri are analyzing the images from the cameras in the area to obtain elements useful for the investigation.
