Available on the best digital platforms the new single by NINO BRUNO and the 8 Tracks entitled “Mamma mia che brutte facce”, the first single from the new album UTOPIA-IA-O.
The new single by the group Nino Bruno e le 8 Tracce is published today by Goodfellas Edizioni.
“Mamma mia che brutte facce” is the first single from the upcoming new album UTOPIA-IA-O, the fourth album by the Neapolitan cult band.
After the albums “Cane telepate” (2009), “Sei corvi contro il sole (2011), “Cuore deserto” (2015), the EP “EHI DEI” (2018) and above all the writing of "Every Single Moment In My Life Is A Weary Wait", the leading song of the soundtrack of the film "This Must Be the Place" by Paolo Sorrentino.
The band formed by Giulio Fazio (keyboards), Nino Bruno (guitars and vocals), Peppe Sabbatino (drums), Massimiliano Sacchi (wind instruments), Zaira Zigante (vocals), returns with a “surreal” new musical chapter supported by the artistic production of Marco Messina (99 Posse) who took care of the mixing and collaborated on the artistic production.
"Mamma mia che brutte facce" is a short, light-hearted song, with a steady Latin rhythm, perfect for dancing in a disco or party, while conversing, or for listening to while losing yourself in the dystopian lyrics. It's especially enjoyable in the car, on short or long journeys. Upbeat with a hint of uneasiness, playful at the same time, ambiguous, unsettling. Unlike anything else you've heard around, but also unlike anything NB and 8 Tracce have played to date.
Instructions for use: It has to do, albeit very indirectly, with all the historic glam rock (Bowie, Gary Glitter, Marc Bolan, Roxy Music, Alice Cooper, New York Dolls, Blondie, Renato Zero, Kraftwerk, The Stranglers) and with the most particular IT-POP, both vintage (Matia Bazar, Radius, Decibel) and contemporary (Annalisa, La rappresentativa di lista, Achille Lauro, Nada). In case of danger, contact Serge Gainsbourg.
