Fourteen tracks awaited for over 13 years; also for this reason the release of “Nanni”, the new album by Valentina Stella, an absolute and legendary certainty in the Neapolitan singing firmament, is a launch pad event for a 2024 that promises to be branded Napoli more than ever.
Valentina's voice embellishes chords and sound virtuosity, masterfully blended by Adriano Pennino, in himself a timeless guarantee. "Nannì" is also the name of the show on stage at the Teatro Cilea in Naples on February 14, a tribute to her mother, who gave birth to so many "talents", while at home the artist was the father from whom she inherited the talent for singing.
“Nannì”, preceded by the single “Che sò pe 'tte”, is a project to which Zeus Record, the legendary Neapolitan record company that is about to celebrate its first 60 years, has dedicated efforts and sacrifices, focusing with conviction on the uniqueness of Valentina Stella's vocal cords and on that poignant theatricality in every interpretation, matured over the years spent between tiring apprenticeships and surprising stages. The symposium of authors who contributed to the album with their pen is substantial and authoritative: from Bruno Lanza to Vincenzo D'Agostino, Vincenzo Caradonna, Francesco De Rosa, Ciro Troiano, Alessio Arena, Alfredo Venosa, Gennaro Scuotto, Luigi Sica and Federico Abussi.
The album is the synthesis of a long period of absence from the discography, not from the scene, made of emotions and feelings. Valentina has given space to cinema, theater and concerts, perfectly combining all aspects of her art, a profoundly complete artist.
“Stamme still ccà”, paired with Andrea Sannino, is the new single from the album. Two covers (“Mente Cuore” and “Paura”) are included in the new album, which also represents an exhaustive overview of Valentina's new look, included in the large “photo booklet” attached (shots by Vincenzo Ferraro).
The musical lineup that worked on the album was also very respectable: in addition to Adriano Pennino himself on keyboards, Roberto D'Aquino on bass, Alfredo Golino on drums and Gaetano Correra on percussion, Giampaolo Ferrigno and Maurizio Fiordiliso on guitars, the professors of the Teatro San Carlo for strings, Carmine Marigliano on flute, the brothers Gaetano and Gianfranco Campagnoli on wind instruments, Antonio Rufo on oboe, and Silvia Aprile's backing vocals.
