'L'Eroe', the new single from the band La Scelta: in radio rotation from tomorrow

The song is the soundtrack of the film GOLIA, visible on the Prime Video and Chili platforms. Written and performed by the Roman band, “L'Eroe” is an emotional pop-rock ballad introduced by an intimate atmosphere that then grows until it explodes in a liberating finale.

Through a touching and direct text, a father speaks to his daughter revealing for the first time his fragilities and his desire to be a point of reference despite his imperfections and vulnerabilities. Because recognizing one's weaknesses helps to draw strength from them to overcome a difficult moment in life.

This is how Mattia del Forno, singer of La Scelta, tells us: «A few years ago I went through a rather difficult personal period. I wrote this song during those days, I threw it down without emotional constraints, essentially talking about Mattia-father. It was a courageous choice because laying bare one's essence can truly free us from the shield of perfectionism. The same shield that often, in some situations in life, protects us but other times is so heavy that it prevents us from taking flight. Courage lies in showing the lights and shadows of our person made up of very human points of vulnerability but also of incredible points of strength. Being fragile does not mean being weak”.

The single “L'Eroe” is accompanied by a video clip created by Rhapsodia Film and performed by La Scelta.

Biography

La Scelta is made up of Mattia Del Forno (vocals, piano, synth), Francesco Caprara (drums, percussion), Emiliano Mangia (guitars), Menotti Minervini (bass) and Andrea Di Cesare (electric violin).

They thus released their first album entitled “Il Nostro Tempo”. The same year they took part in the Concertone del 1° Maggio in Piazza San Giovanni in Rome. Children of the new rock scene that has invaded the capital for over a decade, the stage is their natural habitat, they have hundreds of concerts behind them, their music speaks different languages, draws from the rich Italian undergrowth, looks to Europe and goes to snoop around the Mediterranean. They are on the terrain of multicultural sound but with solid roots in the Italian textual tradition. Between 2011 and 2012 they recorded some songs in El Paso (Texas) with Fabrizio Simoncioni (internationally renowned sound engineer, multiple Grammy Award nominee).

Subsequently, a very long tour begins that sees La Scelta and Ron together on stage, over 100 concerts in Italy and abroad. In the fall of 2015, Ron entrusts Mattia with the production of his new album, “La Forza Di Dire Sì”, containing 24 duets with great Italian artists. The album is released in March 2016 and the proceeds are donated to AISLA. The band participates, together with 22 other artists, in the video clip of the single “Una Città Per Cantare 2016′′ which reaches first place on the iTunes charts and becomes one of the most played songs on the radio for several weeks. In April 2016, “La Forza Di Dire Si Tour” starts and during the summer of the same year, the single-duet “Aquilone” is released on radio rotation. The song is placed in the top 10 of the most played independent songs. In December 2016, the band's single “Tamburo” is released on radio rotation.

La Scelta is the author of the song "L'ottava meraviglia," which Ron performed at the 67th Sanremo Music Festival. In October 2017, the band released their second album, "Colore Alieno" (Coffee Records/Artist First), and the two singles "Transoceanica" and "Argilla" won awards at the "Roma Videoclip Festival." 2018 began with the radio release of their second single, "Alieno," whose video premiered on the Tgcom24 website. The music video for "Argilla," featuring actors Mirko Frezza and Milena Mancini, was available on June 15. The video won the "Revelation of the Year" award at the 2018 Rome Videoclip Festival in the "Big" section. In November 2019, the new single "Ho sguardo il cielo" was released, which marks, with the combination of music and cinema, the collaboration with actor Mirko Frezza, who directed the video clip with an exceptional cast including Marco Giallini, Claudia Gerini, Francesco Montanari and other big names.

In June 2020, the song "Ballad 2020" preceded the single "Ultimo Tango," released in October. In 2021, the band released "Agosto a casa," whose music video was directed by actor Marcello Fonte, and the single "La via della seta." Since March 2022, two more singles, "Ritmo del mondo" and "Treno del futuro," have been available on all digital platforms.
