"It's already been almost two months since the 'disaster' Mascagna', in a few days the 120 days for the definition of the works will end and the Mascagna Park is a real cemetery of trees cut down without even being removed".
Regional Councilor Maria Muscarà of the Mixed Group stated, "This is a veritable massacre that we witnessed before our eyes in the middle of the Christmas period, without children being able to enjoy the park.
The saddest thing is that, according to the Mayor, "there's no money to manage the parks"—but there is money to raise salaries—so we're witnessing yet another privatization of public assets, like the Molosiglio gardens, which appear to have been entrusted to a private individual. Parks shouldn't necessarily benefit private individuals, but all citizens."

For Mascagna Park, the three-month deadline is about to expire, and there's no plan for its redevelopment. The most absurd thing is that this morning a meeting will be held at the town hall to examine the possibility of using the empty parking spaces with trees donated by private individuals.
This is completely absurd, and we always meet in the morning when residents are working and can't intervene. We recall that a counter-report was submitted by the associations, which demonstrated that a real, needless extermination of the trees in Mascagna Park is underway, relentlessly and without 'science,' forgetting that we live thanks to them," concludes Councilor Muscarà.
