Naples, firecrackers fired into the crowd at the Concert in Piazza Plebiscito: 39-year-old from Acerra arrested

Troubled night in the center of Naples, with arrests and reports even among minors.

The Carabinieri of the Naples Center Company, shortly before midnight and until the first light of morning, carried out numerous checks in the nightlife areas, including Via Toledo, Piazza Trieste e Trento, Piazza del Plebiscito and Chiaia.

During the checks, carried out in conjunction with the Campania Regiment during the New Year's Eve celebrations, hundreds of checks were carried out, leading to the arrest of two people and the reporting of 13 others, including six minors, one of whom was in possession of a blank-firing pistol.

In the chaos of the escape between Piazza Trieste e Trento and Via Chiaia, he was arrested Raffaele Celardo, 39 years, of Acerra, already known to law enforcement. The Carabinieri stopped him while he was detonating unconventional and clandestine explosive devices during the New Year's Eve concert. The bomb squad from the Naples provincial command assessed the explosions as "deadly." Celardo was found in possession of two other homemade explosives and is currently awaiting trial.

Angel Affinita, 48 years old, originally from Santa Maria a Vico and already known to the police, was also arrested after providing false personal details to the military.

Among the minors reported, a 14enne he was caught throwing firecrackers between passers-by in the Umberto gallery, while another 14-year-old was stopped in Largo Berlinguer with a blank pistol without red cap. A 16-year-old was reported for driving without a license, while a 17-year-old boy was found with a 6-centimeter nail without justification. A 17-year-old Neapolitan was reported to the juvenile prosecutor's office for resisting the carabinieri.

Traffic checks led to the reporting of two people, aged 22 and 23, who were found in possession of illegal homemade explosive devices in their cars. Finally, two men, aged 54 and 34, were reported setting off fireworks in Piazza Trieste e Trento, ignoring the presence of numerous passersby and parked cars.

Three people, under house arrest, have been reported for violating restrictive measures during the New Year celebrations. A unauthorized parking 48 years old was reported as a repeat offender.
