Naples. Piazza Bellini continues to be at the mercy of vandals and hooligans who, especially on nightlife weekends, hide among thousands of young people who crowd the gardens.
"The photographs I was sent of the city's ancient Greek walls being used as a garbage dump are truly humiliating. Hundreds of glass bottles, plastic cups, paper, and remnants of makeshift stalls shamelessly thrown into one of the city's iconic sites.
Tourist signs erased with spray paint. Zero tolerance is needed for those who humiliate Naples and its priceless treasures. Those who defile the city must be punished as they deserve.

The time has come to protect the ancient walls of the city from the assault of the vandals by all means, including covering them with materials that allow them to be seen but, at the same time, preserve them from the new barbarians".
These are the words of the deputy of the Green Alliance – Left Francesco Emilio Borrelli who received the photographic reports of the degradation in Piazza Bellini.
