Last night the police officers of arcade-Ercolano, engaged in a territorial control service following a report received by the local Operations Room, intervened in via Canarde in San Pietro for a robbery to the detriment of a couple.
The police, who promptly arrived on the scene, heard the couple's testimony, who reported that shortly before, while they were riding in a car on Via Contrada Osservatorio, they had been approached by a scooter with two individuals on board.
At gunpoint, the couple was forced to hand over 150 euros and a mobile phone.
Pursued by the unfortunate assailants, the alleged robbers attempted to escape, even firing a shot. Finally, they abandoned the scooter in the parking lot on Via Canarde in San Pietro.
After investigating the vehicle and viewing photos of possible suspects, police identified and subsequently tracked down one of the alleged perpetrators of the crime in an apartment.
Some items of clothing matching those used during the robbery were found in the house, as well as the key to the abandoned scooter.
Consequently, a 16-year-old youth from San Giorgio a Cremano was detained by the public prosecutor, seriously suspected of aggravated robbery and illegal possession of a firearm. This morning, the arrest was validated by the judicial authorities.
