The extraordinary opening of the National Railway Museum of Pietrarsa in Portici it was a great success, with the participation of over 5000 people from all over Italy.
The event was organized by the Polo Museale della Fondazione Fs Italiane and was a special occasion for railway culture and history enthusiasts, especially for residents of the surrounding area.
Visitors had the opportunity to admire the exhibits on display in the large pavilions and outdoor areas, purchasing a ticket at the symbolic price of 2 euros.
Oreste Orvitti, director of the Museum, commented: “We believe that the Sunday just passed is for us the right reward for the work that in these years has seen us committed not only to the redevelopment and enhancement of the site and the relaunch of the entire area, but also a way to thank all those who love these places and who can thus experience them feeling more and more a part of them”.
