As part of the initiatives linked to the earthquakes in Campi Flegrei, starting today, in the Rione Terra di Pozzuoli, at the Cultural Hub of the Campi Flegrei Regional Park of Palazzo Mirabella, as part of the cultural project “Officine Rione Terra” by Art Garage, it will be possible to participate in the game Earthquake, earthquake.

This is an interactive game that aims to better inform children about the topic of bradyseism. In fact, Earthqualke simulates a bradyseismic shock and is designed for slightly older children, therefore from nine years old and up, with free admission. The activity will take place precisely at 17:00 to 18:00 on Wednesday 3, Thursday 4, Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 January.

The aim is to allow children to experience bradyseism, thus simulating a sensation of the earth's instability.

This way, even the youngest children will be able to immediately recognize dangerous situations and therefore understand when the earth is shaking. The game consists of a balance board, a round platform, which the children must climb onto while trying to maintain their balance. The game will be accompanied by infographics designed for younger children, as well as a cartoon, and will feature three different levels.

The three levels of the game

In the first you just need to stay balanced, in the second you will have to put your hands on your head, and finally the third level, which will consist of lowering yourself. Whoever does not fall off the balance board until the last level will win the game. The device was created by students of the Industrial Design of the University of Naples Federico II, under the guidance of professor Carla Langella.

Also on the same days, there are some initiatives for adults on the theme of the earthquake at Campi Flegrei. You will be able to watch some documents restored using artificial intelligence, such as “La Solfatara di Pozzuoli” by Emilio Miraglia from 1954 and “Il lido dei Cesari” from 1955, in addition to the drone video “I Campi Flegrei dall'alto”.
