In the last few hours there have been problems on the Circumflegrea line which have sparked protests by passengers at the Montesanto station.
According to reports received by the Green-Left Alliance MP Francesco Emilio Borrelli, one of the trains remained stationary for a long period in the tunnel connecting the Piave and Montesanto, with the doors closed and without a clear explanation for the interruption of service.
Due to the lack of air circulation and the overcrowded carriages, some passengers reportedly felt unwell, according to witnesses to the incident. According to one of the passengers, no official communication was given and the train doors were not opened during the event.
Borrelli took a stand by underlining that, regardless of the causes that determined the situation, the inconveniences, poor service and delays on the railway service are too many and are to the detriment of the users, who are always the main ones penalised in these situations.
