Even Ugo Russo enters the fray in the trial for the death of the baby robber the FBIThe judges of the Court of Assizes of Naples, where the trial of the carabiniere accused of having used the young man is being held, have in fact ordered new investigations to clarify the role of the soldier.
And to do this, the same service pistol previously seized will be used and the material used by the FBI to simulate a human skull will be employed in the judicial experiment ordered in the context of the trial on the murder of Hugh Russo, the 15 year old killed by a carabiniere in Naples on the night of 29 February 2020. During the robbery attempt, Russo, armed with a replica pistol and an accomplice, were trying to steal the soldier's watch.
The Court of Assizes of Napoli entrusted the task to expert Emanuele Paniz, Already responsible for identifying the warhead that caused the death during the previous evidentiary hearing. However, this time, the jamb located on Via Generale Orsini, following the one hit on Russo's helmet, will be removed and used for ballistic reconstruction.
The goal is to confirm whether the warhead in question was the fatal one and to determine the distance between Russo and the soldier at the time of the shot.

The lawyer Giovanni Fusco, representing the Russo family together with Domenico Di Donato and Antonio Mormile, declares: "We are moving forward and addressing all aspects of this complex and highly technical process. We are confident that this judicial experiment will confirm the evidence already emerging."
The experiment will serve to establish whether Ugo Russo still represented a threat to the Carabiniere
The outcome of this test will be crucial to assessing whether Russo still posed a threat to the Carabiniere victim of the attempted robbery. Bullets seized from the officer, other similar bullets from the same batch, and a helmet similar to the one worn by Russo will be used in the investigation.
Comparing the traces found on Ugo's helmet with those on the headgear used in the judicial experiment could provide further details on the distance between the victim and the accused. The results should be available within ninety days, but the complexity of the investigations and the issues raised could lead to a possible delay in the presentation of the results.
