Today, Monday 29 January, in Bacoli, the reclamation works of Lake Fusaro will continue in the presence of the deputy Francesco Emilio Borrelli, and the mayor of the Phlegraean municipality, Josi Della Ragione.
As shown on social media by the mayor, tons of waste have already been removed from the lake bed: canoes, boats, televisions, chains, vases, tires, everything else.
“We are removing tons of waste from the bottom of Lake Fusaro – Josi Della Ragione declared – It had become a landfill. Now it shines again. We want to defend the environment, with all our energy. We pulled everything from the lake. Canoes, vases, tires, boats, chains.
A carpet of degradation that offended not only the wonder of the flora and fauna, but also the landscape of the Casina Vanvitelliana. We are succeeding thanks to the synergy with the Campania Region. I thank Francesco Emilio Borrelli, who did so much to support this reclamation. We are succeeding.
From Lake Miseno to Lake Fusaro. Never again a lake basin of waste. We must succeed. Because Bacoli deserves all our commitment. Together, we are stronger. One step at a time”. The mayor of Bacoli concluded.
“The defense of the artistic and naturalistic heritage of our region must be a priority for all administrations and institutions – added Deputy Borrelli – Alongside investments, a concrete commitment is needed to avoid new damage. Those who pollute must pay.
Unfortunately, the environmental devastation perpetrated in recent years has cost hundreds of thousands of euros to the regional coffers, the time has come to change course. I am happy that my colleague Roberta Gaeta is carrying forward with great tenacity in the regional council the work we have begun”. With these words the deputy Francesco Emilio Borrelli.
