During an anti-drug operation carried out by the Carabinieri of the Operational and Radiomobile Unit of the Company of Caserta, a 25-year-old Gambian was caught while trying to sell a dose of hashish to a young man from Caserta.
The pusher tried to escape along Viale Carlo III in San Nicola La Strada after noticing the presence of the carabinieri, but was promptly stopped and arrested. During the personal search, 7 doses of hashish were found and seized.
The pusher was taken to house arrest pending the orders of the judicial authorities and will have to answer for possession with intent to sell narcotics. The buyer was also reported for the related administrative violation.
The arrest took place in the late afternoon at the municipal villa of Largo Rotonda in San Nicola La Strada. The rapid action of the carabinieri prevented the pusher from succeeding in his illegal activity and demonstrates the commitment of the police to combat drug trafficking in the area.
