The carabinieri of the station of Qualiano they conducted a large-scale operation in the area, with checks and searches, supported by the Sarno dog unit.
During the operation, Gennaro Iorio, a 48-year-old already known to the police, was arrested for possession of drugs for the purpose of dealing. During the searches, the carabinieri discovered 62 doses of cocaine inside Iorio's home, placed in a bag on the windowsill of the bedroom, along with a precision scale and various materials for packaging drugs.
In the nightstand, 3.000 euros in cash were found. In addition, 14 grams of cocaine and two doses of hashish were found and seized inside Iorio's garage. The arrested man is currently in prison awaiting trial.
