Clashes between the Camorra clans of the Spanish Quarters behind the wounding of the criminal Mark Zanga, originally from Cavone, which occurred on the evening of November 7, 2022.

The investigations of the Naples Flying Squad and the police station agents Montecalvario have helped shed light on that ambush behind which there is the clash between the Masiello Group and that of the Mazzanti to which the injured person is tied.
And so today, on behalf of the Public Prosecutor of Naples, the State Police executed a custodial order issued by the GIP of the Court of Naples, at the request of the local Anti-Mafia District Directorate, against GC, considered to be seriously suspected of the crimes of personal injury, also aggravated by the mafia methods, carrying and possession of a common firearm.
The precautionary measure was issued following investigations coordinated by the Naples District Anti-Mafia Directorate and conducted by the Flying Squad in relation to the wounding of a man by gunshots, which occurred on 7th November 2022 in the Spanish Quarter area.
From the investigative activities carried out it emerged that, in the context of the tensions that were recorded in that period between criminal groups operating in the Spanish Quarter area, on the evening of 7 November the suspect - who is believed to be linked to the criminal group attributable to Masiello Vincenzo alias O'cucù, currently detained for association crimes (while the victim is believed to be close to the Mazzanti criminal family) – would have crossed paths in Long St. Matthew Alley the victim and allegedly fired at least five gunshots at her lower limbs, causing an exposed fracture to her right leg.
The arrested man is linked to the Masiello group while the victim is linked to the Mazzanti group.
Furthermore, on the evening of November 9, 2022, the suspect, in order to evade a police check, allegedly handed over a common firearm to a minor so that he could hide it.
The evening before the ambush against Marco Zanga there was a shooting at the home of the owner of the butcher's shop in via De Deo always at Spanish Neighborhoods.
