Yesterday evening, the agents of the General Prevention and Public Rescue Office, within the scope of the territorial control service, following a note received by the local Operations Room of the Police Headquarters of Napoli, intervened at the entrance to the Porta di Massa ferry station following a report of an injured person.
The police, who promptly arrived on the scene, found a man with a wound to his hand who indicated a person nearby as the person who, shortly before, after physically attacking him, had stolen the backpack he was carrying on his shoulder.
Therefore, the operators reached and, with no small difficulty, blocked the defendant, identified as a 63-year-old from the United States, who was arrested for aggravated robbery, personal injury and resisting a public official.
