The Eva cooperative continues to collaborate with the Palace of Caserta for the collection of oranges from the Royal Park, which are used to produce the Queen's Marmalade.

This collaboration, established through a memorandum of understanding, sees the cooperative engaged in services for the prevention and fight against violence also through the reuse of goods confiscated from the mafia. The citrus fruits of the Green Museum have therefore become a resource and an opportunity for social redemption.

The oranges from the Bosco Vecchio, Flora and Giardino Inglese, once destined to rot, have found a new life in the Marmellate delle Regine over the last three years.

Currently, the women of the social cooperative are harvesting the ripe fruits. Later, in the laboratory of “Le Ghiottonerie di casa Lorena” in Casal di Principe, they will prepare and package the jam.

According to Tiziana Maffei, director of the Reggia di Caserta, the production of this jam contributes to the autonomy paths promoted by the cooperative for women who are emerging from situations of violence and in difficult conditions.

The fruit used will be more than 45% and no preservatives will be added. This year, the Marmellata delle Regine will also be on sale at La Buvette di EVA in the new location of the Teatro San Ferdinando in Naples, inaugurated on December 18, and at the Teatro Mercadante, thanks to a collaboration with the Teatro di Napoli – Teatro Nazionale, which aims to offer new job opportunities to women who are recovering from situations of violence.
