Directed by Antonello De Rosa.
Prejudice and fanaticism fueled the Nazi extermination. No one has forgotten: “STRACCI DI MEMORIA”, not by chance, is the title of the theatrical work by Antonello De Rosa, on stage on January 26-27 at 21,00:28 pm and Sunday 19,00 at XNUMX:XNUMX pm at the Teatro LA MENNOLA in via Salvatore Calenda – Salerno.
The show focuses on a silent page, torn from history books.
It is called “Homocausto” that inflicted on thousands of homosexuals at the time of the Nazi extermination. A bitter cross-section that the director and playwright Antonello De Rosa has converted into his new work.
The look at the atrocities of Nazism and the extermination camps focuses on women, children and homosexuals, the most oppressed and condemned by the Nazis. In the concentration camps they were branded with a pink triangle sewn onto their striped uniforms: it was the symbol of the weakness they were accused of and which cost them humiliation and torture, pseudoscientific experiments and, to about 7 thousand of them, death, accounting for 60% of the global tragedy. The play is entrusted, at De Rosa's request, to his young actors: Peter Zobel, Simona Avallone, Soraya Vicinanza and Maria Russo.
The scene is divided into two camps: in the first, female, there is a woman who hides her pregnancy by binding her belly more and more. The one who betrays her will not be her belly but another deportee. And then there is the other camp, in which the bond between Thomas and Frank is broken and it will be up to the latter to witness the death of the former who will tell his audience.
