The Guardia di Finanza of Salerno fake market, together with the local Customs Office, donated to the Salerno Diocesan Caritas over 1.300 items of clothing seized following an activity to combat counterfeiting.
The merchandise, mostly intended for children, had been stolen from the counterfeit market and would otherwise have been destroyed. The Public Prosecutor's Office at the Court of Salerno authorized the donation of the clothing items to Caritas for humanitarian purposes, considering it to be truly necessary and useful.
Representatives of the charity and the customs officers and officials who carried out the seizure were present at the delivery, which took place at the Customs Agency offices.
This initiative, aimed at supporting the community, merges the concept of fighting counterfeiting with that of solidarity, demonstrating the commitment of the two administrations in pursuing the operational objectives of combating economic crime without neglecting charitable commitments to ensure greater justice and social equity.
