In Salerno, a couple decided to flee without paying the 400 euro bill after having dinner at a famous restaurant in the city center.
Although the scammers' faces were obscured in the image released by the owners of the venue, thanks to security cameras, they asked the public to help them identify them.
The two - as anticipated by Il Mattino - took advantage of a short break to smoke a cigarette outside the restaurant and managed to disappear.
The owners of the restaurant, La Pescheria which is located in the centre of Salerno who were not present at the time of the incident, have launched an appeal on social media to identify the two “freeloaders” and have warned their fellow restaurateurs to be careful. A complaint will be filed with the competent authorities.
