The Fire Festivals, in Casagiove the celebrations in honor of Sant'Antonio Abate are scheduled

Wednesday 17th and Sunday 21st January, double event in honour of Sant'Antonio Abate.

Casagiove hosts a double event celebrating the cult of Saint Anthony the Abbot and the traditional rites associated with it. On Wednesday, January 17, after the 10,30:19,15 a.m. Mass celebrated by all the city's parish priests, a procession carrying the effigy of the saint will take place at XNUMX:XNUMX p.m. from the headquarters of the Congregation of Saint Anthony of Padua to Piazza degli Eroi, accompanied by the Casagiove City Band 'Pompeo Ferraro'. The procession will conclude with the traditional blessing of pets, the lighting of the 'Cippo di Sant'Antuono' (Sant'Antuono memorial), and a fireworks display.

On Sunday 21 January in Piazza Silvagni you can taste free pasta and beans with musical entertainment by the 'PTB Part Time Band' by the Parish Communities of Santa Croce and San Francesco di Paola. In Piazza San Michele, instead, you can taste free polenta, supported by the notes of 'Arka', by the Parish Community of San Michele Arcangelo. Piazza Della Vittoria will host the performance of the group 'Le 7 Stelle di Nanto' and the participation of 'Up & Clown', by the Parish Community of Santa Maria della Vittoria, with the possibility of consuming free grilled sandwiches. The event will close with a concert by the 'Pastellesse Sound Group'.

The two-day celebrations are part of the Project 'Le Feste del Fuoco' - Intervention co-financed by the POC Campania 2014-2020, Urban regeneration, policies for tourism and culture. A unitary program of cultural, naturalistic and food and wine tourist itineraries of national and international scope - led by the Municipality of Macerata Campania and partners the Municipalities of Casagiove, Castel Morrone, Marcianise, Recale and San Nicola la Strada.

It is a celebration of the people of Casagiove, the main protagonists. The Municipal Administration has defined the framework for this initiative, and the work it will contain will be designed by everyone, not by anyone.
