He added that Cosa Nostra can commit violent acts to maintain its credibility and that there is a significant turnover of arrestees who enter and leave prison, which is alarming.
The prosecutor of Palermo, Maurizio de Lucia, has highlighted that the mafia is going through a moment of crisis that must be exploited.
He stressed that the mafia should not be considered as something finished but as an organization that remains dangerous, especially given the limited budget of resources available to justice. He stressed the importance of planning and rationalizing the action to combat it.
