Three women, among many others in line, wait wearily for the meetings with the inmates to begin. They bring objects to be delivered inside, one of them is pregnant: in different ways, they desire access to the place that holds a bond for each of them. In some way, imprisonment is shared outside by the convicts, and for the three women, who take charge of it, it coincides with the same existence: male roles overlap with the lives of each, physically impacting the body, behavior, activities, psyche. In their reality, detention is a near fatality - like death - that disfigures the soul of those who remain. It seems established that the punishment is useless or unjust.

"During the research - explain the artists of the lunAzione Collective - We fell in love with these halved lives, anchored to the abyss, strung along a spatial and social boundary, constantly reaching out toward the elsewhere: a painful and cumbersome afterlife on one side, and, on the other, a dreamed-of, necessary, yet denied life. The lack, in both directions, seemed intolerable to us.
