Naples, Teatro dei Piccoli: double appointment Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st January

Andersen's "The Diary of an Ugly Duckling" in a contemporary key and the music of "L'INVERNO" in the program for children and families at the Teatro dei Piccoli in Naples.

Theater, dance, and live music will be available on Saturday, January 20th and Sunday, January 21st, 2024 (at 11 a.m.) as part of the artistic program organized by Casa del Contemporaneo/Le Nuvole, I Teatrini, and Progetto Sonora in collaboration with the Municipality of Naples and the management of the Mostra d'Oltremare for children and families at the TEATRO DEI PICCOLI in NAPLES.

“A sort of diary of a little swan, believed to be a duckling, who goes through various stages of life, like those told in the original story by Andersen, and takes a real journey of formation in search of himself and his place in the world and in the discovery of diversity as a qualifying and precious element because we must not hide the scars accumulated in life, but make them become our treasure” - this is the summary of his DIARY OF AN UGLY DUCKLING in the words of the author and director Tonio De Nitto on stage Saturday 20 January at 11 am for children aged 6 and over and their families.

An actor's theatre combined with the languages ​​of dance and video projections staged by Factory Compagnia Transadriatica, TIR Danza, Fondazione Sipario Toscana particularly appreciated abroad where, in addition to De Nitto himself, Francesca De Pasquale, interpreter together with Ilaria Carlucci, Luca Pastore and Fabio Tinella and the original music by Paolo Coletta were awarded at the XXIV International Festival for Children and Youth theatre in Iran and at the XXV Kotor Festival of Theatre for Children in Montenegro.

You can discover the sounds of "L'INVERNO" on the morning of Sunday, January 21st (again at 11:3 a.m.) with an interactive children's concert by the Progetto Sonora Ensemble, which fosters a love and appreciation for music in children, including very young children as young as XNUMX years old. The performance is an opportunity to actively experience music through interactions with the children's musicians, who participate, guided by the conductor on musical instruments, exploring different genres from classical to jazz.
