From Friday 12th to Sunday 14th January on stage at the TRAM Theatre in Naples Andrea Palladino and Alessandro Tedesco directed by Pasquale De Cristofaro.
The text by the Spanish poet and playwright, whose work won the MAX Award for Best Playwright of 2015, is set against the backdrop of the Spanish Civil War: the protagonists are Rafael, a prisoner awaiting execution, and Sebastian, his young jailer. In real life, Rafael Rodrìguez Rapun was the secretary of the university theater group "La Barraca," directed by Federico Garcìa Lorca, and his last companion.
In a tense confrontation between the two, Rafael will try to involve Sebastian in a dual task, bringing his family a message of hope and recovering an unpublished manuscript by Lorca, safeguarding his memory for future generations. A gripping drama about the value of memory as fertilizer for a less violent and more democratic future.

"Alberto Conejero (born 1978) with 'The Dark Stone', won the Max Award in 2015 as best Spanish playwright of that year. - explains director De Cristofaro -. With 'corponovecento,' a theater series I direct with Alfonso Amendola, we published it in Italy in 2019, translated by Simone Trecca. The unique feature of our publications is that we then see the texts on stage, and so, involving two young and talented actors, I put the text on stage. The show is engaging and features Garcia Lorca as its protagonist. This is an added value, in addition to the motif of memory that has always accompanied theater.
