The Floor is the new quiz created by John De Mol that has already been successful in Holland and is about to land all over the world.

'The Floor' premieres tonight on Rai2. It's one of the most anticipated new television programs of the new year: a quiz show new to Italy, but already recognized as an international television phenomenon. This new format was created by John De Mol, the creator of the successful 'Affari Tuoi' and 'The Voice'.
In the Netherlands, where it launched, it entered the top 10 most-watched programs of the 2023 season, but it also achieved great success in Spain on Antena 3 and is soon to arrive in the United States on Fox. It will then also air in Germany and France. And starting tonight, it will arrive in Italy. 'The Floor' will air on Rai2, in prime time, for six episodes, produced by the Prime Time Entertainment department in collaboration with Blu Yazmine.
100 contestants compete in a quiz battle, each assigned a space and their own category. One after the other, the contestants must challenge one of their neighbors in a lightning-fast duel: the loser is immediately eliminated. The winner, however, will gain their opponent's space, expanding their own space. The contestant who, after six episodes and 6 duels, manages to conquer the entire playing field will win the fantastic prize of €99.
A general knowledge show for the whole family: the protagonists will be experts in their chosen subject matter. From the most challenging to the most bizarre: sayings, proverbs, movie characters, monuments, cities, cartoon characters, sports, historical events, animals, movies, songs, and more. The "duelants" will compete on the chosen challenger's subject matter. At the end of each episode, the contestant who has won the most panels will win a cash prize, while the winner of the entire competition, who beats everyone else and wins 100 panels, will win €100. Hosted by Ciro Priello and Fabio Balsamo, new TV stars. They began their career on social media, performing sketches as part of the collective The Jackal.
