Adding insult to injury. This is the sad epilogue for the owner of a property in Greek's tower, who, after finally defeating the squatter through numerous legal battles, found herself with the apartment completely devastated and in a state of total chaos.
Broken walls, holes in the walls, and spray-painted graffiti everywhere are just some of the examples of the degradation suffered.
"This apartment was left to me as an inheritance from my father. Now, out of pure spite, they have destroyed it. I am speechless, I only feel a deep anger“, said the woman, who sought help by turning to the deputy of the Green-Left alliance, Francesco Emilio Borrelli.
"It would seem that the squatters are more protected than the legitimate owners of the apartments or the legal assignees, and this is something we cannot understand and have been fighting against for years,” Borrelli said. “How much will the victims have to pay to get some justice? A destroyed house? The memories of a lifetime vanished into thin air? We will continue to stand with the victims. "
