A San Vitaliano the carabinieri of the local station arrested for fraud aggravated Immaculate Cangiano, a 42-year-old Neapolitan woman already known to the police.
The story is now sadly well-known, it is the scam of the fake lawyer who calls the victim and asks for money to release her son from prison, who was involved in a car accident.The agreed sum is 15 thousand euros but the victim, a 56 year old, does not fall for the trap and once the phone conversation ends she asks the carabinieri for help. A few minutes and the soldiers - coordinated by the operations center - reach the victim's home organizing an ad hoc service that allows them to block the 42 year old.
The 56-year-old woman had stolen a 50 euro note from the victim along with several pieces of jewelry and a watch with a total value of 5 euros. The arrested woman is now awaiting trial. The investigations and subsequent action by law enforcement led to her immediate arrest.
