The officers of the Flying Squad of the General Prevention and Public Rescue Office of the Police Headquarters of Rieti They arrested a man from Naples with numerous criminal records for attempted fraud and possession of false documents. In recent days, State Police officers, during their territorial control and general prevention operations, intervened in the Santa Rufina di Cittaducale commercial area, where an attempted fraud targeting an electronics store had been reported.
State Police officers located a man matching the description provided by the victim and immediately stopped him as he was trying to get rid of some false documents and his pay slip, which he had used shortly before to make a fraudulent purchase by taking out a loan.
The man was therefore arrested and placed at the disposal of the local judicial authorities, who ordered his release pending a hearing to validate his arrest. Furthermore, the Rieti Police Chief, given the man's dangerousness to society, simultaneously issued him with a mandatory expulsion order prohibiting him from returning to the Municipality of Rieti for three years.
