Over 200 kg of pasta collected for the Emporio Solidale of Vico Equense and a total of 200 euros collected from the sale of pizzas baked by the Pizza a Vico Association with the contribution of Vico's dairy products for Cacio.
This was the outcome of the first "Vico città solidale" trophy organized by the ASD city of Vico Equense which took place on Thursday 4 January at the Municipal stadium of Massaquano.
The four youth teams of Vico Equense, Sorrento, Juve Stabia and Turris animated the quadrangular.
Juve Stabia won the first place cup after beating Sorrento on penalties in the final.
“We are pleased to have been able to make a contribution to the Emporio solidale di Vico Equense, to which all the proceeds of the tournament are destined, and the fact that our boys were involved in raising funds and basic necessities. For us, this tournament had and has an educational value for our boys.

Our aim remains to contribute to their education through the promotion of those fundamental values that are the basis of the community and of a society that aims at progress, values such as solidarity, friendship, respect, sacrifice".
Thus the president of the ASD Vico Doriano who added: "I would like to thank all the sponsors and volunteers who have worked hard to make this tournament happen, and especially my colleagues from Sorrento, Juve Stabia and Turris who immediately made themselves available to participate in the event and contributed to the collection for the Emporio Solidale".
Also satisfied with the success of the tournament was the DS of Vico Equense, Gianmaria di Maio: “Thursday demonstrated how collaboration between different local organizations, such as the association Pizza a Vico, Vico per Cacio, Aicast, can contribute to creating social events of a certain importance.
For us, this tournament represented a further step on a path undertaken a few months ago but which already promises to be able to reach distant goals. I join the president in thanking him. It was exciting to see how much support we received from the association and volunteers”.
