Xanadu is the new collection of unpublished stories by playwright, theatre and film actor Gianfranco Gallo, who in his artistic career has published his sixth book; the third for the types of “Edizioni Graf”.
The presentation event will take place on January 5, 2024 (18:30 pm, free admission) in the evocative setting of the Domus Ars in Naples (Via S. Chiara 10C), where the author will have the opportunity to meet his readers and present his latest work.
Special guests at the event, which will feature readings and music, will include Cristina Donadio, Ciccio Merolla, Carlo Faiello, and publisher Luciano Chirico. Students from Spartak San Gennaro will be present, and the musical performance will be provided by Luigi Esposito on piano and Antonio Maiello on guitar.
The special limited edition, featuring different covers illustrated by Violante Varriale, makes this book even more exclusive, promising to captivate readers with its compelling and engaging stories. Proceeds from the sale of the book will go to support the "Sostieni il calcio popolare" project, a charity initiative that aims to promote football as a tool for social inclusion and integration among diverse communities.
During the event, the goals and initiatives coordinated by the Lo Sgarrupato social center and the Spartak San Gennaro football school will be presented, which have received the support of the author himself, who declared: "This charity is given to us before it is offered". "For me - continues Gallo This form of publication is becoming commonplace. The short stories I write have the sole purpose of being useful; they give me one more reason to continue feeling free. Free to see where others may have stopped looking, free to steal all the beauty that selfless Goodness restores. Ours is a strange charity that, before being offered, is given to us.

Ultimately, Xanadu represents not only a new literary work by Gianfranco Gallo but also a way to support an important cause through culture and solidarity.
