Yesterday afternoon, the State Police arrested a 40-year-old man in San Giovanni Barra, after catching him with approximately 150 kg of drugs and 4 pistols.

The operation was conducted by agents of the Flying Squad and the local police station, as part of a specific investigative activity.

During the search of the suspect's home, a total of 51.350 euros was found hidden in an envelope.

Suspecting the presence of additional evidence, the agents extended the search to a premises used by the subject, where they discovered 105,6 kg of hashish, 39,5 kg of marijuana, and 4 guns hidden in bags.

The estimated retail value of the drugs exceeded one and a half million euros. The guns were found to be stolen.

As a result, the 40-year-old, already subject to the alternative measure of semi-liberty, was arrested on charges of illegal possession of narcotics, illegal possession of weapons and receiving stolen goods.
