“In the ardor of our room” by Massimo Sgorbani: the new theatrical production in Naples
After stopping at the Teatro Tor Bella Monaca in Rome and the Teatro Comunale in Veroli, “Nell'ardore della nostra camera” by Massimo Sgorbani arrives in Naples. The protagonist of the opera is Donatella Busini, directed by Paolo Orlandelli, in the role of a frustrated widow subjected to the abuses of her deceased husband. This offers her the opportunity to express all her anger for a redemption that, unfortunately, will remain only an aspiration.
The plot unfolds in the delicate moment of transition between the 20th and 21st centuries, in which taboos are being torn down and the Catholic religion begins to falter under the weight of anachronism and hypocrisy. Sgorbani delves into the human soul and describes its deepest thoughts and inner urges, offering the audience a shocking and never-before-seen theatrical experience.
The next performances will be held on February 16 at the Wunderkammer in Villa Comunale in Naples and on February 17 at the Sala Ichos. Tickets cost 10 euros full price and 5 euros reduced.
