A 44-year-old man was reported by the Aversa Carabinieri for being an expert in committing snatch thefts.
According to the investigations, between January and February of this year he committed 3 snatch thefts against three women from different cities in the area.
The robberies, all carried out with the same modus operandi, were carried out in Aversa. The man approached the victims on a moped and, after having identified the victim, snatched the bag from her hands and then quickly disappeared.
The Carabinieri were able to identify the man through a lightning investigation that involved questioning witnesses, analyzing public and private video surveillance systems, and a house search.
During the search of his home in Aversa , the Carabinieri found and seized the clothing and motorcycle used during the thefts, along with a sum of money of 670 euros that had just been stolen from the third victim and which was found in his jacket.
