Last night in Bacoli, Carabinieri from the Pozzuoli station made a delayed arrest for the crime of domestic abuse against a 38-year-old man with no criminal record.
The man's wife, the victim, frightened, showed up at the barracks to tell the soldiers what had happened shortly before. The man, since last November, had been threatening her with death, refusing to accept the end of their relationship.
The threats, sent through various social media channels, culminated a few hours before the woman went to the police station.
In a short time, those virtual threats became reality. The man found himself under the woman's house while fortunately she was getting into the car of her friends who were waiting for her. The 38-year-old was armed with two knives and ran toward the car.
The woman filmed those terrifying moments with her smartphone, recording 7 seconds of video that leaves no doubt. The car started to escape, but the man threw one of the knives at the vehicle. Amid the screams of those present, the weapon stuck in the rear window, shattering the glass into a thousand pieces and falling on the seat.
He stabbed the knife into the rear window of the car, shattering it.
The Carabinieri of Pozzuoli collected all the evidence and, in collaboration with the Naples Prosecutor's Office, reached the man who had barricaded himself in his home. Smartphones and knives were seized, while the man was arrested pending trial.
